When I started the shop I could not think of a cool name. A name is everything.... My boyfriend and I met in April of 2019 and he was so excited to introduce me to his family in a way that would explain what kind of person I am. His introduction? "Meet my Trippy Hippie Witchy Chick girlfriend!" As I pondered what name to choose, I thought this was a perfect fit. I began with my newly renewed passion for crystals. I was obsessed and grew my new collection too quickly, too largely! I was concerned I would get some backlash from my family about it. I decided I should go under the guise of a business to justify my addiction to collecting such beautiful pieces.
I dove in, though already armed with knowledge and sales experience. But nothing could have prepared me for this! While posting to marketplace and rebranding my Etsy shop, a friend suggested I do live sales. I started small, setting up in my beautiful backyard patio by the rock pool under the oak trees. I went live on Facebook and Instagram holding firm to the belief that I should never give up and always keep going, for this was what I am meant to be doing now.
Slowly, friends and strangers came to support me. My mom began to sit in and the excitement rubbed off on her and soon we were keeping up with trying to figure out a system for processing orders and shipping everything. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned, and our methods evolved.
All the while we began to offer more than just crystals. Soon we were selling 925 Silver Jewelry with beautiful Crystals, statues, prepared candles, mugs, wall decorations, oils, and more! But it was not until I made the switch to going live on Tik-Tok after reaching my first thousand followers that the unexpected happened and our network grew changing our lives for the better! Today I operate from inside my house. I left my job in insurance to dedicate myself full time to the shop and my retired mother offers support with shipping and she creates beautiful jewelry to contribute to the shop as well! The whole reason for it is to stay in our home... but that is a story for another day.
